Description

This screen adhesive is used to fix the front screen to the chassis of your Xperia Z5. It ensures a clean, even hold of the glass after a screen replacement, acting as a double-sided seal placed around the screen. When the adhesive is worn, peeled or damaged, the screen can lift, shift or let in dust and moisture.

Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery if you open the casing. Carefully clean the bonding surfaces with a lint-free cloth and a little isopropyl alcohol, then let them dry completely. Remove the protective film from the adhesive only at the moment of fitting, and avoid touching the sticky side with your fingers.

After fitting, check that the screen is pressed down evenly all around and that nothing protrudes. Only switch the device back on once the glue has had time to hold properly. Handle the components with care, as static electricity and excessive heat can damage the circuits.
