Parts warranty terms
2-year legal guarantee of conformity
All parts sold on DR Phone Lab benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for 2 years from delivery (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code), as well as the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
Covered: a defect in the part itself (a part that does not work, or no longer works, even though it was fitted correctly on the model stated on its product page).
Used parts ("Original Pulled", refurbished)
These parts are flagged on their product page before purchase. For a new part, a defect that appears within 24 months of delivery is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery; for a used part, this presumption is 12 months (article L217-7 of the French Consumer Code). The legal guarantee of conformity itself remains 2 years.
What is not covered
- breakage during fitting (torn flex cable, cracked glass, damaged connector, etc.);
- breakage afterwards, oxidation and water damage;
- misuse: drops, impacts, a part that has been modified or fitted to a model other than the one stated;
- a part fitted by a third party and showing visible damage caused by the fitting.
These cases remain covered if they are the result of a defect in the part.
"Non-genuine part" message on iPhone
On iPhone 11 and newer models, a screen, battery or camera that is not original Apple may display a message in Settings. This message, built in by Apple, is not a defect in the part. The page of each part concerned flags this before purchase.
"No error message" parts: these "Diagnostic" screens and batteries are presented by their manufacturer as not displaying this message. If such a message were to appear anyway, please contact us: the part would not match its description.
Withdrawal
You have 14 days from receipt to withdraw. Contact us before sending anything back; return costs are at your expense. For a full refund, return the part unfitted and unused, complete, in its original packaging with its protective films intact: a part that has been fitted, used or had its films removed may be refunded minus its loss in value (article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code).
Making a warranty claim
Before any return, write to us at contact@drphone.fr with your order number, a description of the problem and, if possible, a photo or video. We will tell you how to send the part back to us; it is tested on receipt. A part found not to conform is repaired or replaced, or failing that refunded, at no cost to you.
Lithium batteries
Batteries are packed and shipped in accordance with the rules for transporting lithium-ion batteries. Do not install or use a battery whose casing is damaged, swollen or punctured: contact us and we will tell you how to return it safely.
