Description

This LCD adhesive is a fixing strip designed to hold the screen and its frame in place on the Galaxy J4 Plus (J415 / 2018). It is used when replacing a screen or a broken glass, as it provides the mechanical hold of the display module against the chassis. It is useful when the old adhesive is worn, torn or no longer holds, which can cause the screen to lift, create play or let in dust.

Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery if the procedure for the model recommends it. Gently warm the edges of the screen with a hot air gun on a moderate setting to soften the old adhesive, never exceeding a lukewarm temperature to the touch. Clean the surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth, then let them dry completely. Avoid touching the sticky side and protect your components against static electricity.

After fitting, check that the screen is properly aligned and that nothing sticks out. Check the seal and the hold before fully closing the device. If the battery was removed, reconnect it carefully and carry out a few full charge cycles to check that everything works properly.
