Adhesive for Pixel 8a – Original

Description

This adhesive is an original part designed to secure certain internal components of Pixel 8a. It keeps an element mechanically held in place once it is refitted. When it is worn, detached or no longer holding, the component may move, come loose or no longer be properly retained inside the device. It is a retaining part, not an electronic component: replace it carefully and without forcing it.

Before you begin, switch off the device and disconnect the battery where possible, to avoid any short circuit or electrostatic discharge. Work on a clean, flat surface, with good tools and a bit of patience. Remove the old adhesive without bending or tearing it off roughly, then clean the surfaces with a lint-free cloth. Do not puncture, bend or expose the battery to excessive heat.

Once fitting is complete, check that the component is properly in place and does not rub against any neighbouring part. Switch the device back on only after the casing is closed. If the battery was disconnected, a few full charge cycles will then let you check that everything works normally.
