Description
This compatible battery replaces the worn battery of your HTC Desire HD7. It powers the phone and determines how long it runs between two charges. When a battery ages, the phone shuts down suddenly, holds its charge poorly or overheats while charging; replacing it restores a proper battery life.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and carefully remove the back cover. Work on a clean, dry surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Remove the worn battery without piercing it, bending it or forcing the connectors. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it and handle it with care.
After fitting, charge the battery fully, then go through a few complete charge and discharge cycles before normal use. Keep an eye on the temperature while charging: moderate warmth is normal, excessive heat is not. Finally, check that the phone starts up and that charging works properly.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and unplug the charger before any work.
- Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery.
- Do not use a swollen battery; handle it with care.
- Avoid static electricity by working on a clean surface.
- After fitting, complete a few full charge cycles before normal use.
