Description
This compatible battery is designed for the DTEK60. It replaces the worn-out battery in your phone and allows it to work normally again, without having to stay permanently plugged into the mains. A battery that no longer holds its charge, shuts down suddenly or overheats abnormally is usually the cause of these problems, and replacing it often fixes these faults.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect it from any power source. Work on a clean, dry surface, use a plastic tool to open the casing, and avoid static discharge by touching a metal surface before handling the components. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables and never force the connectors.
After reassembly, switch the device back on and carry out several full charge cycles so the battery balances properly. Monitor the temperature while charging: it should remain moderate. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent, and if it is swollen, it must no longer be used.
