Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Idol 3 smartphone. It powers the device and replaces the old battery when it no longer holds charge, drains too quickly or shuts off unexpectedly. Replacing the battery is often the simplest repair to restore decent battery life.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean surface with a suitable tool, and limit static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Do not puncture or bend the battery: if it is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, carry out a few full charge cycles so the battery stabilises. Then check that the device starts, charges correctly and that the temperature stays moderate during use.
