Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of your iPad 5 (2017). It powers the tablet when you unplug it and gives you enough battery life for everyday use. If your tablet shuts off suddenly, no longer holds its charge or overheats while charging, replacing the battery is usually the simplest solution.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never bend or puncture the battery.
After fitting, connect the tablet and let it charge fully, then run two or three complete charge and discharge cycles so the new battery calibrates properly. Check that the screen switches on, the touchscreen responds and charging remains normal. If the current battery is swollen, do not use it: set it aside carefully.

- Swollen battery: stop using it
- Do 2 or 3 full charge cycles after fitting
