Description

Before you start, switch the iPhone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit work area, with an anti-static mat if possible. Use suitable tools to avoid scratching the chassis. Disconnect the battery before handling any ribbon cables, and never puncture, bend or crush a lithium cell. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it and handle it with care.
After fitting, plug the phone into the mains and let it complete a few full charge cycles so the battery calibrates. Monitor the temperature: moderate warmth is normal, strong heating is not.
