Before you start, switch the device off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with the right tools. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal surface. Never puncture, bend or crush a lithium battery. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, check that the phone starts correctly and that the charge indicator works. For a new battery, it is advisable to carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so that the level indicator calibrates properly. Monitor the temperature during the first charges.
