Description
This compatible battery replaces the current battery in your iPod Classic. It powers the device when it is not plugged in, so you can listen to your music on the move. If your iPod no longer holds a charge, does not switch on properly or shuts off suddenly, replacing the battery is often the first solution to try. This is a third-party part, designed to be compatible with the iPod Classic model.
Before you start, switch off the device and take the time to prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Work on a non-conductive surface and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal part. Do not bend the battery, never puncture it and do not expose it to excessive heat. Disconnect the battery before handling the device's ribbon cables.
Once fitting is complete, connect the iPod and let it charge fully. Then carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the battery reaches its optimal performance. Check that the screen, buttons and audio playback work correctly before closing the case for good. If the battery swells at any point, stop using it immediately.
