Description
This compatible battery replaces the battery of a Xiaomi Mi 6 when the current one no longer holds its charge, drains too quickly or shuts off without warning. It is a part made by a third party, designed to fit the Mi 6 model and restore normal everyday battery life.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a small suitable screwdriver along with a suction cup or a prying tool. Work on a clean, dry surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend it.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and check that the battery is properly recognised. Carry out several full charge and discharge cycles to allow the battery to adapt. If the battery swells, overheats abnormally or gives off a smell, stop using it immediately and do not charge it any further.
Tips
- Switch the phone off completely before any work
- Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables
- Never puncture, bend or crush the lithium battery
- Swollen battery: stop using it and set it aside
- Carry out several full charge cycles after fitting
