Description
This compatible battery replaces the current battery in your Nexus 5 when it no longer holds its charge, drains too quickly or no longer starts the device. It powers the smartphone and ensures its everyday operation, both in normal use and on standby.
Before you begin, switch off the phone completely and prepare a suitable small screwdriver and a clean tray to avoid losing the screws. Work on a non-conductive surface and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Never puncture the battery, do not bend it and do not force the connectors. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it and handle it with care.
After fitting, switch the device back on and check that charging works correctly. For a new battery, it is advisable to carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to optimise its battery life. Keep the heat moderate during charging and monitor the battery life over the first few days.
