Description
This compatible battery replaces the worn battery of your Nova 5 (2019). It powers the phone and lets it run without being permanently plugged into the mains. When the current battery no longer holds its charge, shuts down suddenly or overheats, replacing it resolves these faults.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a small suitable screwdriver and a clean holder to keep the screws in. Work on a flat surface at room temperature and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Always disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Never try to pierce, bend or crush a lithium battery. A swollen battery must no longer be used.
After fitting, check that all connectors are properly clipped in and that the phone starts correctly. For a new battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to allow it to start up well. Monitor the temperature during the first charge.
