Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of the HTC One M8. It powers the phone continuously and determines its battery life day to day. When the battery ages, you may notice a rapid drop in charge level, sudden shutdowns or a phone that heats up unnecessarily while charging. Replacing this component often restores normal use of the device.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and place it on a clean, dry surface. Use a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it, and take the time to identify the connectors. Disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables, and protect the device from static electricity, for example by touching an earthed metal object.
Once the part is fitted, carry out a few full charge cycles before judging the result. Check that the device starts properly, that charging takes place without excessive heating and that the displayed level remains consistent. A lithium battery must be handled with care: do not puncture it, do not bend it and do not use it if it is swollen.
