Description
This battery is a compatible replacement part for the Google Pixel 5a 5G. It is used to replace the worn battery of your smartphone when it no longer holds its charge, shuts down suddenly while still showing a charge level, or overheats abnormally during use. Replacing the battery often restores a decent battery life without having to replace the whole device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit and clear workspace. Use a tool suited to opening the device and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture, or bend the battery. If the battery is swollen, do not use it any more.
After fitting, check that all connectors are properly clipped in and that the screen and buttons work. Carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to allow the battery to settle, then monitor the temperature during the first charges. Moderate warmth is normal, but significant heating should prompt you to stop.
Tips
- Switch off the phone before any intervention
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Swollen battery: stop using it
- Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables
- Complete a few full charge cycles after fitting
