Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Q5 model. It replaces the current part when it no longer holds its charge, drains too quickly or switches off unexpectedly. A worn battery can also cause unexpected restarts or a device that overheats while charging. Replacing this part usually restores a proper battery life for everyday use.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit and dust-free workspace. Use a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it, and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Avoid any contact with metal objects that could cause a short circuit, and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
Once the part is fitted, switch the device back on and check that all components work correctly. For a new lithium battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to stabilise its performance. Never puncture the battery, do not bend it and do not expose it to excessive heat. If it looks swollen, stop using the device and do not attempt any repair.
