Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 6. It powers the phone and lets it run without being permanently plugged into the mains. When a battery ages, you often notice battery life dropping quickly, a phone switching off suddenly while charge is still displayed, or a device heating up unusually while charging. Replacing this part is an economical way to get more comfortable use back.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the case. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a plastic opening tool and an anti-static mat if possible. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and avoid forcing the connectors. The battery is a lithium component: do not puncture it, bend it or heat it. If it is swollen, stop using it.
Once the part is fitted, check that the phone starts, the screen responds and charging works properly. For a new battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to help its battery life stabilise. Watch the temperature during the first uses and keep the phone lukewarm to the touch, never hot.
