Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Redmi S2. It replaces the worn battery in your phone and powers the device when it is no longer plugged in. A tired battery shows up as a shrinking battery life, a phone that shuts off suddenly or overheats while charging. Replacing the battery fixes these faults and makes the device more comfortable to use day to day.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Use a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it, and avoid any contact with the electronic components. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and discharge static electricity by touching a metal object. Do not puncture the battery, do not bend it and do not expose it to excessive heat.
Once the new battery is fitted, carry out a few complete charge and discharge cycles to let everything stabilise. Then check that charging is normal and that the phone does not overheat abnormally. If the battery swells at any point, stop using it immediately.
