Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Risio 4. It replaces the current part when it no longer holds its charge, drains too quickly or no longer lets the device work properly. Replacing the battery is one of the most common repairs to restore battery life to a device.
Before you start, switch the Risio 4 off completely and unplug the charger. Prepare a small suitable screwdriver, a flat tray to keep the screws well organised and, if needed, a plastic opening tool. Work on a clean surface, away from any heat source, and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
During fitting, do not puncture the battery, do not bend it and handle it with care. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it and do not try to force it out of its compartment. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. After fitting, let the device charge, then carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the battery balances properly.
