Description
This compatible battery replaces the current battery in your Microsoft Surface 6 (2018) when it no longer holds its charge or when battery life has clearly dropped. It powers the tablet and determines how long it can be used between two charges. A worn-out battery can also cause sudden shutdowns or a device that switches off even though the charge level seems sufficient.
Before replacing it, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface, with suitable tools, and without forcing the connectors. Never drill, bend or short-circuit a lithium battery. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it and handle it with care. Also think about static electricity: avoid working on a carpet or a floor that generates it.
Once the new battery is installed, reconnect the device and check that the tablet starts and that charging works properly. For a new lithium battery, a few full charge and discharge cycles help you better estimate its real battery life. Take the time to check everything before closing the case.
