Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of your 15-inch Surface Book 2. It powers the computer when it is not plugged into the mains and lets you use it on the move. It helps fix the most common faults: battery life that drops quickly, a sudden shutdown while charge remains, or a device that only starts when plugged into the mains.
Before you begin, switch the computer off completely, unplug the charger and place the device on a flat, clean surface. Work in a temperate room, away from heat, and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before touching the internal ribbon cables. Never puncture a lithium battery, do not bend it and do not try to force it into its housing.
After fitting, switch the device back on and check that it starts correctly on battery and on mains. For a new battery, it is advisable to carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so that the battery life stabilises. If the battery swells, overheats abnormally or does not hold its charge, stop using it immediately.
