Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 1. It powers the device when it is not plugged into the mains and lets you use it on the move. When the current battery no longer holds its charge, shuts down suddenly or no longer recharges properly, replacing it is the most common way to regain satisfactory battery life.
Before you start, switch the computer off completely, unplug the charger and take the time to find out the exact procedure for your model. Work on a flat, clean surface at room temperature, and avoid static electricity by discharging yourself beforehand on an earthed metal object. Disconnect the battery before handling the circuit ribbons.
Once the battery is fitted, reconnect the charger and let the device go through a few complete charge and discharge cycles so that the system properly recognises the new battery. Then check the battery life and operating temperature. Never pierce or bend a lithium battery, and stop using any battery that appears swollen.
