Description
This compatible battery is designed to replace the current battery in your Surface Pro (2013). It powers the device when it is not plugged into mains, and a worn battery often shows up as battery life dropping quickly, a sudden shutdown at a still high charge level, or a charge that no longer holds. Replacing this part lets you get comfortable mobile use back without changing your device.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal part. Disconnect the battery before handling any ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and handle it with care.
Once fitting is finished, reconnect the power supply and carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the battery can settle in properly. Watch the temperature: moderate warmth is normal, but any abnormal overheating should alert you. Then check the battery life and that charging works correctly.
