Description
This compatible battery replaces the worn battery of your Surface Pro 6 (2018). It powers the tablet when no mains socket is available and determines how long it runs between two charges. A battery that drains quickly, overheats abnormally or no longer holds its charge is usually the most frequent cause of this type of fault.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable screwdriver and some patience for the screws, which are small. Avoid any contact with the edges of the battery and do not puncture or bend it. A swollen lithium battery must no longer be used: set it aside and do not attempt to charge it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and check that the battery is properly recognised. Carry out a few complete charge and discharge cycles to let the battery life stabilise. Monitor the temperature during the first uses: it should remain moderate.
