Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of the Surface Pro 7 (2019). It powers the tablet when it is not plugged in and keeps the device's data during a power cut. When battery life drops sharply, charging suddenly stops or the tablet switches off without warning, replacing the battery is often the solution.
Before you start, switch off the tablet, unplug the charger and place the device on a flat, clean surface. Work in a dry room at a moderate temperature, and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. Take the time to identify the screws and connectors carefully before unscrewing them.
The battery is a lithium component: do not pierce it, bend it or heat it. If it is swollen, deformed or gives off a smell, do not use it and handle it with care. After fitting, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the device can properly register its charge level, then check the battery life and that charging works correctly.
