Description
This compatible battery replaces the current battery of your Surface Pro 8 (2021) when it no longer holds its charge or shuts off suddenly. It powers the device wirelessly and governs how the tablet operates when it is unplugged. A worn battery often shows up as falling battery life, slow charging or a sudden shutdown while the displayed level still reads high.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely, unplug the charger and work on a clean, flat surface. Use suitable tools and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. A lithium battery must never be punctured, bent or exposed to excessive heat. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it and handle it with care.
After fitting, switch the device back on and run a few full charge and discharge cycles so the power management can calibrate properly. Then check the battery life and charging behaviour. If the behaviour remains abnormal, check the fitting and connections before any other intervention.
