Description
This compatible battery replaces the worn-out battery of your Tab 2 (2012) tablet. It powers the device and directly determines its battery life. When it degrades, the tablet shuts off suddenly, no longer holds its charge or refuses to start without the charger plugged in. Replacing the battery is a repair that is within reach for a hands-on DIYer, provided you work with care.
Before any work, switch the tablet off completely and disconnect the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools and a tray to store the small screws. Avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent. If the worn battery is swollen, do not use it and do not attempt to remove it.
After fitting, switch the tablet back on and check that the screen, touch function and charging work properly. For a new battery, it is advisable to carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to optimise its performance. Monitor the temperature during the first charge: it should remain moderate.

- Disconnect the battery before handling the screen ribbon cables.
- Never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
- Swollen battery: stop using it and do not dismantle it.
