Description
This compatible battery replaces the worn-out battery of your Tab 2 (2012) tablet. It supplies the power the device needs to run when it is not plugged into the mains. A battery that drains quickly, no longer holds its charge or makes the tablet switch off without warning is often the cause of these faults. Replacing it restores more stable battery life for everyday use.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with a suitable screwdriver and plastic opening tools to avoid scratching the casing. Discharge the device as much as possible before working on it. Work on a non-conductive surface and touch a metal earth point to limit static electricity.
The battery is a lithium component: never puncture, bend or short-circuit it. If the worn battery is swollen, deformed or hot, stop using it and do not try to recharge it. After fitting, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the electronics can recalibrate the charge level. Then check that the tablet starts up and that it charges correctly.
