Description
This compatible battery replaces the worn battery of the Tab Active 5 (2024) tablet. It powers the device and directly determines its battery life: a tired battery drains quickly, sometimes overheats while charging or eventually fails to keep the tablet switched on. Replacing this part is a repair that a practical home user can manage, as long as you proceed with care.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and unplug the charger. Prepare a suitable small screwdriver, a plastic opening tool to open the casing without scratching it, and a clean, well-lit workspace. Work on a non-conductive surface and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal part. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and do not puncture, bend or expose the battery to significant heat.
After fitting, put the casing back in place, then carry out several full charge and discharge cycles so that the battery returns to stable operation. Monitor the temperature during the first charge. If the battery is swollen, deformed or hot to the touch, do not use it and set it aside in a safe place.
