Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Torch 9850. It replaces the phone's current battery when it no longer holds its charge, drains too quickly or no longer allows the device to run properly. It is a spare part made by a third party, intended for private individuals who want to repair their device themselves.
Before fitting, switch the phone off completely and unplug the charger. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable screwdriver and non-metallic tools to open the casing. Discharge the battery as much as possible before removing it, and avoid any contact with metal parts of the circuit to limit the risks linked to static electricity. Disconnect the battery before handling any ribbon cables.
Once the battery is fitted and the phone closed again, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to let the whole unit stabilise. Keep an eye on the temperature while charging: moderate warmth is normal, excessive heat is not. Never puncture, bend or force a lithium battery. If it is swollen or damaged, stop using it.
