Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of a Sony Xperia E5. It powers the phone when it is unplugged and keeps it running through the day. When a battery ages, the phone can switch off suddenly, drain very quickly or get hot while charging. Replacing the current part often brings back normal use.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and work on a clean, dry surface. Prepare a small suitable screwdriver and a flat tool to open the casing without forcing it. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables.
A lithium battery needs care: do not puncture it, do not bend it and do not expose it to strong heat. If the battery is swollen, stop using it. After fitting, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to let the indicator adjust, then check the battery life and the temperature of the phone.
