Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Y12a model. It replaces the device's internal battery, which supplies the power needed for your device to work wirelessly. When a battery ages, you often notice battery life dropping quickly, a device that switches off suddenly while still showing some charge, or unusual heating while charging. Replacing this part lets you enjoy more comfortable use without changing your device.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect it from any charging source. Work on a clean, clear surface, with a suitable tool and a well-lit area. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before handling the connection ribbons to avoid any short circuit.
Once the battery is fitted, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so the device can learn to measure its charge level correctly. Then check that the device starts, that charging runs normally and that it does not overheat. A lithium battery must never be pierced or bent. If it looks swollen or deformed, or gives off a smell, stop using it.
