Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Y21 model. It powers the device and allows it to run without being permanently plugged in. It is used to replace a worn battery when the device no longer holds its charge, shuts down suddenly while remaining battery is still displayed, or charges irregularly.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with the right tools. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables to avoid any short circuit. Do not puncture the battery, do not bend it and avoid exposing it to excessive heat. Wear an antistatic wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to limit electrostatic discharge.
Once the fitting is complete, carry out several full charge cycles so that the battery and the device can settle. Monitor the temperature during the first charges and check that battery life and charging are normal. If the battery is swollen, deformed or hot, stop using it and set it aside in a safe place.
