Description
This compatible battery is designed for the Y74s smartphone. It replaces the current battery when it no longer holds its charge, drains very quickly or no longer starts the device. A worn battery can also cause sudden shutdowns or a phone that overheats abnormally, two signs that it is time to change it.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a small screwdriver of the right size, along with a clean, well-lit work surface. Work on a non-conductive surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables and never force the connectors.
Once the battery is fitted, switch the device back on and check that the charge level display is consistent. It is advisable to carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so that the device recalibrates its indicator properly. If the battery swells, overheats strongly or shows any deformation, stop using it, do not puncture it and do not bend it.
