Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of the ZenFone 5. It powers the phone when it is not connected to the mains. It is useful when battery life drops noticeably, when the device switches off suddenly while charge remains, or when it overheats abnormally while charging.
Before fitting, switch the phone off completely and prepare a suitable screwdriver, a suction cup and a clean work surface. Work away from static electricity and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Never puncture, bend or crush a lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using it.
After replacement, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so that the level indicator stabilises. Monitor the temperature during the first charges, which should remain moderate. Then check the screen, buttons and connectors. If abnormal behaviour persists, stop using the device.
