Description
This compatible battery replaces the internal battery of a ZenFone 8. It powers the phone and determines its battery life. As a battery ages, you will generally notice shorter battery life, a phone that switches off suddenly while still showing charge, or slow charging. Replacing the battery helps you get back a more comfortable use of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace. Use a suitable tool to open the casing and a suction cup or plastic spudger to release the parts without forcing them. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and take care of static electricity by avoiding synthetic carpets. Do not puncture, bend or heat the battery: a lithium battery must be handled with care. If the current battery is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, check that all connectors are properly clicked into place and that the phone starts correctly. Carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles so that the battery and the device adapt to each other, then check the charge level display and the temperature while charging.
