Description
The Galaxy Tab E 8.0" (2016) home button is the physical key below the screen, used to return to the home screen, wake the device and, depending on your settings, access certain functions. Over time, the button can become hard to press, stop responding properly or get stuck. This compatible part lets you replace the faulty button without changing the entire screen or board.
This button is a delicate, small component. Before you start, switch off the device completely, disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it and work on a clean, dry surface. Avoid excessive heat and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface. Never bend the ribbon cables and do not puncture the battery.
After fitting, check that the button works correctly: firm press, return to the home screen, fingerprint if your model has one. Reconnect the battery before switching the device back on. If the battery is swollen, stop using it. A compatible part may behave slightly differently from the original, so test all functions carefully before reassembling the device.

- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Work on a clean surface, free of static electricity
- Do not bend the ribbon cable and handle it with care
- Test the press, the return to home and the fingerprint sensor after fitting
- A swollen battery must no longer be used
