Description
This flex cable carries the power button and volume buttons of the Pixel 2. It is a small flexible circuit that links these buttons to the motherboard: when you press them, it sends the signal that switches the device on or off or adjusts the sound. Without it, the buttons have no effect.
This compatible part fixes the most common faults with these buttons: a button that no longer responds, sticks, needs several presses, or a volume that no longer changes. It fits in place of the current part, with no other modification, on the Pixel 2.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible, and never force the delicate connectors. After fitting, check each button before closing up, then test the operation once the device is reassembled.
