Description
The volume button for the Poco M4 5G is the small mechanical part that lets you raise or lower your device's sound using the side keys. It is usually connected to a ribbon cable that passes the press to the motherboard. When it wears out, sticks or stops responding, the volume no longer adjusts properly, sometimes on one side only.
This part is a compatible version made by a third party. It replaces the current part without changing the rest of the device. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, remove the battery if the design allows it, and work on a clean, clear surface. Use a plastic tool to avoid scratching the frame, and avoid static electricity by discharging yourself on a metal object before you touch the parts.
After fitting, check that both buttons work before you close the device: a firm press, a proper return, and volume that goes up and down. If the battery was disconnected, switch the device back on only once fitting is finished, then check the buttons again. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
