The Redmi Note 9 Pro volume buttons are a spare part in the form of a ribbon cable with buttons, which connects the physical sound adjustment keys to the motherboard of the device. When they wear out or disconnect, the keys become stiff, stop responding, or adjust the volume erratically. Replacing this ribbon cable often restores reliable control without replacing the whole device.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It fits the same positions and performs the same functions as the original part for the Redmi Note 9 Pro model, but its appearance and feel may differ slightly. Before you start, switch off the device, discharge it if possible and disconnect the battery before handling the connectors. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static tool, and avoid any pressure on the ribbon cables.
After fitting, check each button one by one, turning the volume up and down, before closing the housing. If a key has no effect, check that the connector is properly clipped in. Never bend the ribbon cable and do not force it into its slot.
