Description
The Xbox One button flex cable is a flexible ribbon that carries the device's physical buttons, such as the volume button, the power button or the home button depending on the model. When these buttons stop responding, stay stuck or press unevenly, this flex cable is often the cause. Replacing it restores working buttons without changing the whole device.
This part is a compatible manufacture, designed to fit the Xbox One model. It therefore meets a need for low-cost repair, without claiming to be the device's current original part. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an anti-static tool and avoid forcing the connectors.
After fitting, check each button one by one, testing the press, the return and the correct operation of the associated function. Then reconnect the battery and check that the device starts normally. If in doubt, take the fitting apart calmly and check the position of the flex cable.
