Description
The rear camera Galaxy Alpha (ref. G850A) is the main photo module located on the back of the device. It is used to take photos and videos with the rear lens. Its proper operation depends on its alignment with the front and on keeping the lens clean. When it is faulty, you often see a blurry image, abnormal colours, focusing that no longer works, or a black screen when the camera app launches.
This part is a compatible camera, made by a third party. It is therefore an affordable alternative for replacing the current part. Before you start, switch off the Galaxy Alpha completely and disconnect the battery if the technical sheet provides for it. Work on a clean, flat surface, disconnect the flex cable without twisting it and avoid any contact with the lens. Protect your components from static electricity by touching a grounded metal surface regularly.
After fitting, check the function before closing the device: test photo, video and focusing, and check that the camera does not overheat abnormally. Clean the lens gently with a microfibre cloth. If the battery is swollen or damaged, stop using it and do not puncture or bend it.
