Description
This replacement rear camera is designed for the OnePlus 5 model. It sits in the main photo lens on the back of the device and lets you take photos and videos. When it is faulty, you often see a blurred, black or distorted image, spots, or a camera app that no longer opens. This compatible part fixes these faults by restoring rear shooting, provided the fault really comes from the module and not from software or a cable.
Before fitting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with an antistatic mat or by touching an earthed metal surface regularly, and use a flat tool so you do not bend the ribbon cables. Moderate heat is enough to loosen the adhesive; never force it.
After reassembly, switch the device on and test the rear camera in several modes: photo, video, zoom and focus. Also check sharpness and the absence of stripes or spots. If a battery is affected by the same repair, carry out a few full charge cycles before judging the result.
