Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front module of your Samsung A3 (A320, 2017 model). It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition when the image is blurred, black or missing. It fixes the most common faults of this module: frozen image, empty camera screen or a module that is no longer detected in apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, away from static electricity, and use a flat non-metallic tool to open the screen without forcing it. Locate the ribbon cable that connects the camera to the motherboard before disconnecting the current part, and take a photo of its position to make reassembly easier.
Once the module is fitted, check that it works before closing the whole unit: test the camera app in front mode, then a video call. If the phone shows an error, reseat the ribbon cable. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and stop using any device whose battery is swollen.
