Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies, video calls and face recognition when this mode is enabled. This compatible part is designed for the A6 (A600 / 2018) model. It allows you to replace a faulty front camera, for example when the image is blurred, black, frozen or missing in photo and video apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface with a suitable tool to open the device without forcing it. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend a lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not try to keep it running.
After fitting, check that the device starts up, then test the front camera in the camera app and during a video call. Also check sharpness, brightness and the absence of background noise. Once the phone is closed again, check after a few hours of use that the ribbon cable is still firmly in place.
