Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for taking selfies and making video calls. This compatible part replaces the front camera of the A7 (A750, 2018) model when it no longer works, shows a blurred, black or distorted image.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable screwdriver and a plastic tool to open the casing without scratching the frame. Handle the ribbon cable with care and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before working.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery, switch the device back on and open the camera app to test the front camera. Check the sharpness of the image, the colours and the operation of the screen flash if your phone has one. Only close the casing after these checks.
