Description
This compatible front camera replaces the selfie module of the Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus (A730, released in 2018). It is used to take photos and videos facing the screen, especially for video calls. It helps fix common faults: blurred or black image, camera app that will not open, or a module damaged after a drop or water ingress.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery where your model's guide provides for it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a small flat tool and suitable suction cups. Avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal object before handling the components. Ribbon cables are fragile: do not bend them and do not force their connectors.
Once the module is fitted and the phone reassembled, check that the camera works in photo and video, that autofocus responds and that the chassis seal is correct. If the original part was damaged by moisture, also check the other connectors.

- Handle the ribbon cable with care, it tears easily
- Avoid static electricity by earthing yourself
