Description
This front camera is a compatible spare part for the A9 (A920 / 2018) model. It replaces the front photo module, the one used for selfies and video calls. When the current part no longer focuses, shows a blurred or black image, or no longer switches on, this component may be the cause.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use a small suitable screwdriver along with a flat tool to release the connectors without forcing them. Keep the screws in a small container so they do not get lost. Do not bend the ribbon cable and avoid touching the gold contacts unnecessarily.
Once the assembly is complete, switch the device back on and check that the camera activates in the photo app, focuses and produces a sharp image. Also test the video function and video calls. If the battery was disconnected, a few full charge cycles will then help the device work properly again.
