Description
The front camera is the small camera module on the front of your phone, the one used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed for the A98 (2023) model and lets you replace a front camera that is damaged, blurry or no longer switches on.
The most common faults are a blurry or smudged image, a camera that stays black, a photo app that closes, or faulty focusing. Before you start, switch off the device, remove the case and prepare a suitable small screwdriver and a clean tray so that no screws get lost.
When fitting the part, avoid touching the lenses with your fingers and protect yourself from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never force a connector. After reassembly, test the camera in several apps and check the sharpness before closing the device completely.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any disassembly
- Do not touch the lens and clean it with a dry cloth
- Protect the part from static electricity during fitting
- Never force a ribbon cable or connector
- Test the camera before fully closing the housing
Fitting
